The Adcash self-service platform allows you to target specific regions, countries and cities allowing you to reach the right people with your ad campaign. By default, your ad campaign will be displayed globally, with no restrictions. However, if you want to target a specific region, county, city or district, that is entirely possible; it’s just a case of ticking the right boxes.
You can find the city and region targeting options under the basic targeting settings that are available when creating or modifying your campaign.
To add a specific location, start typing and you’ll see a list of places matching what you enter. Once you’ve found the location you wish to target, tick the box next to it to add it to your list.
If you’re updating an existing campaign, after you’ve added all of the locations to your list, click “Save changes” to retain all of your updates.
If you’re creating a new campaign, click “Continue” to move on to the next step in the campaign creation process.
We know that different names are given to different sizes of geographical locations all over the world, but to try and simplify that we’ve tried to condense them all down to the following:
Regions: This covers areas larger than a country. For example:
Countries: This includes countries as well as overseas territories (eg. Aaland Islands, Gibraltar etc).
Districts: A district can include areas both bigger and smaller than a city, such as counties, boroughs, parishes, municipalities and more. Many countries use wildly different names and systems of classification for areas both bigger and smaller than a city, so, if in doubt, search for the area you want to target here.
Cities: The city category includes both cities and towns.
Others: The others category allows you to reach traffic where we’ve been unable to identify the users exact geographical location, usually because they are using some kind of proxy / location masking tools or they are connected to the internet using a satellite connection. The “Other” location targeting options are:
Asia / Pacific Region – not detected
Europe – not detected
