With the upgraded self-managed platform, you now have more tools to make sure that your campaigns hit their mark. The overall process is short and sweet, and this guide will help you create effective campaigns in as little time as possible. Let’s get started.
Please note: Your campaign settings are saved when you move from one section to the next.
Step 1: Select “Create Campaign”
From the sidebar, click CAMPAIGNS and then CREATE A CAMPAIGN.
Step 2: Select your platform
You have three platforms to choose from: Desktop, Mobile or In-App. The overall process is similar for each platform.
In this example we are creating a Desktop & Mobile Web campaign.
Step 3: Enter the campaign’s general info
On the General information tab you can name your campaign and enter your landing page. If you are promoting an app, we suggest you also add a URL to the App Store or Google Play store in the App URL box.
Step 4: Select your targeting options
Within the Targeting tab, there are four primary targeting categories: Geotargeting, Content, Device, and Connection. Each primary category has subcategories.
For example, the Content category has Browser language, Domain, URL keywords, User interest, Vertical, Zone and Traffic restrictions. When you add a rule, it is displayed within the primary targeting category.
In our screenshot, you’ll see that we have Whitelisted English as the Browser Language. You can add as many or as little targeting rules from each subcategory as you’d like.
Please note: The more targeting rules you apply to your campaign, the less traffic will be available.
Step 5: Upload your creatives
Upload creatives according to the type of the desired ad format. You can also decide where the creative will link to: either to your default campaign URL or an alternative one. Adding creatives is simple and you can just drag and drop. Once you add the creative, its summary will appear below.
Step 6: Select your budget options
Within the Budget tab, you need to select your weekly distribution, budget, bid and capping.
Weekly distribution: 24/7 or custom
You can choose to run your campaign 24/7 or on a custom schedule to take advantage of peak times.
Budget: unlimited or custom
An Unlimited budget will draw from your available funds until they run out or the campaign stops. A Custom budget will limit campaign spending to the specified amount. You can also specify the dates during which the campaign should run. If the dates are set in future, the campaign will start and stop automatically. If the dates are not specified, you can instead choose whether the campaign should start immediately after being validated or you can manually run it.
Bid and frequency capping: CPM or CPC
Default frequency capping is set to one impression or click per user every 24 hours. Unlimited is set to unlimited impressions or clicks per user. Under Custom, you can set the number of impressions or clicks per user over a specified period of time.
Daily turnover will spend a specified amount on a daily basis. You can also decide if you want to spread it evenly over the course of 24 hours.
Step 7: Review your campaign settings
Every selection that you have made during the creation process will be displayed within the Overview tab. If everything looks correct, just click “Create campaign“. When you click “Create campaign“, you will be taken to a summary page. Meanwhile, your campaign will be sent for validation and you will be able to run it once it has been validated.
